The curious case of the missing buttons....

Possibly a question for @Wozzaaah (?) concerning the buttons which appear in the box along with the ones for selecting links/smileys/media insertions in posts.

At random, the ones for choosing text size and the pallette for text colours are available - then for no apparent reason... nowhere to be seen. Might be something at my end, but no settings have been changed or updates installed on my machine. Interesting I can see them when composing this post.

I find them quite useful when e.g. emphasising quotes etc. Any suggestions?

Drag your window bigger to the right and all of the buttons appear.

this depends on the system you are using either phone or computer to notebook/pad

then depends on your systems internet explorer as well

updates are normally done on a restart of your browser so when you see it its already been updated and yuo wouldnt really know it

you can stop auto update by going into your browser settings and turning off auto update

Click the [ ] symbol to the top right of the reply box. On a phone you'll probably need to click the three dots first if you don't see it.

Thanks @malcolm I've just tried that and it says "Toggle BB code" which seems to do nothing as far as the visible icons are concerned?

It's a minor irritation in 'The Grand Scheme' of things, so it looks like it'll remain one of Life's great mysteries to me.

That was the window taking up the full screen vs only half, it hides some of the icons when the window is too narrow.
