Likely just fun and getting to places I want to go. Rarely ever did long distance rides. It will have a box for carrying stuff and storing my lid.
I used to commute and use it for everything, but commute wouldnt be practical for arborist work, too much stuff! Unless I get a PAYE job with everything supplied.
"Sports" in my mind is my CBR600F 2002, tho people called it a sports tourer at the time. The later CBR600RR as the name suggests is a "Race Replica", race bike.
The box is because I am often going somewhere and need to take stuff, or need to put my lid securely. Its not often a fun blast around to a cafe and back home as many seem to do.
Fairing is good for blasting down a motorway at 120... Its a pain when they get damaged tho not hard to repair/replace/spray. I find naked bikes to be ugly.
Always liked the look of the red Daytona 675's but I believe often stolen, no immobiliser and cant be parked safely just anywhere. Perhaps with tatty fairings it might be ok.. insurance likely to be high.
The Yamaha MT07 twin would be on my shopping list I think.
Comfy riding position and apparently peppy & enjoyable to ride.
A reasonable cc twin makes a good road engine
