Also an incident just before the end that requires a safety boat restart, then take away the second place trophy and give it to the winners, but three hours after everyone has gone home reinstate the score

And allow spectators to splash about on the course and chance getting a smack by an oar. I think I spelt that last word correctly ,perhaps not, in which case I'm off to the nearest boat race .
