The best 5m measuring tape

Bought a few of these (7.5 metres) at the Pound Shop. Can't go wrong for the price, and as good as any; will last depending on the environment you subject them to.

Great until you press the retract and the sharp tape slices your fingers open, which happened to me last year. It went in the bin.

Have a couple of cheapies, I think they were b&q's own brand and adequate for my needs.

anyone remember the black and decker power tape wifey bought me one . it was massive. press to get it out to length and press for return. ffs it was that slow a sloth was quicker it disaperared in to the garage and a month later went in the bin

Been a couple of years now, and I've still got them; a bit a worse for wear, but haven't been sliced by um yet.

It was one of their newer blue ones. Apart from that nothing wrong with them, I did some very accurate stuff with it.

I’ve got a few fat max tapes scattered about, a tape I bought from Texas when they were on the go. The lock has stopped working bu5 other than that it’s fine. Outside work I use my 25m loggers tape
