My one and only experience of BMW ownership was with a 02 e53 x5 3.0d. Bought it cheap, and with good reason, airbags had collapsed, replaced with coil springs, they snapped and had to go with thicker springs. Never again

With weather like today, i may pop in for a shandy whilst working on my milky skin.

All sorted now. Wheels swapped over & the two problematical ones will be at the garage tomorrow - although there's no immediate rush as they'll just be stored until Winter's onset again.

Springs ordered and will book garage appointment for next week for their replacement.

I attempted to jump start the car using leads this morning so that I could turn her for access to the other two alloys, but.......nothing. Tried my charger/starter but no. Eventually got friendly with a neighbour's car and although the dash was like a Christmas tree the starter just clicked. My battery for showing 5.6V , so left it a while and eventually it passed enough 'oomph' to get her going. I took the car for a decent run & to fill with petrol [all social distancing observed ] and all's back to normal again. Switching off for a minute or two reset all the systems, bar the clock and the puncture warning light, but they've both been manually reset so all's a Japanese golfer again.

As our 'Murican cousins say..."Don't sweat the small stuff"

Now, just to cut the grass before the end of the day, rain showers forecast for tomorrow.....
