There is always that one job you know is going to be a pain.
I have a tin box to store my wife's electric scooter in. As our needs have changed so has the box. First it was extended then it was widened and now its been made taller.
So it's had many changes of paint on it. It started off blue. Then it was painted green.
Then it had to be white and now its had to go green again.
So to make sire its weather proof I sealed it with Sikaflex EBT Grey.
I then painted the box with red oxide primer.
Lots of work has gone into making the box /garage presentable but despite the red oxide drying within minutes on any metal or pre painted parts. The parts sealed with EBT are still tacky some 20 hours after painting.
This EBT is in the brochure as over paintable. Hence why I purchased it. But online the Q&A section says its not over paintable.
So now "one of those jobs" has become exactly that a nite mare.
Any suggestions as how to salvage the situation?? My next step (before the rain comes) was supposed to be paint it green using tekaloid....but god knows what to do now. I don't.
