Texts via email question.

A question for the sage and pooter boffs amongst the collective. I struggle a bit sending texts because of fat finger syndrome and wondered if there was a simple way to send a text via email. It would be a far better option for me, I have oogled it to death but everything seems to be subscription or app based.

There was a way through outlook but I’ve since gone to Mac so can’t remember. Getting old

if you use WhatsApp then you can download the desktop version. I use that all the time.

it’s shift+enter for a new line. Enter sends the message. Just saying to stop folk moaning!

You can login in online, and then send/receive easily.

There is a text service provider called Icetrak that have such a capability but you have to pre buy text messages from them in order to use it. Good for business delivery as generally faster than consumer services

I know at least 2 people who are quite illiterate and they dictate all of their messages using the built-in Android feature. They almost always seem to come through correctly.

Pretty much all of the posts I make on the forum are done via voice recognition while driving
Just click the text message window then press the microphone symbol on the keyboard and start speaking

if texting on the phone in upright position camera view to top reference then the letters are smaller

if you turn your phone the letters are bigger and more spread out

just incase you dont know

you can also make the keyboard bigger as well

You only have 3 vaguely usable fingers and one big toe on a knuckle.

EE used to let you send text messages from their website. Not sure if they (or others) still do that?

Samsung have kies(?) software that let's you connect the phone to the pc and send text messages from the pc.

Not sure who makes the CAT phones but it might be worth looking into and seeing if there are any options available?
