After stripping paint with caustic soda you can then put the baking tins in and earn some brownie points.
There has been mention on this thread of adding caustic soda to the electrolytic solution. My understanding is you can start of by using caustic soda in place of washing soda although I have not done so.
It is interesting to read that caustic soda is better at paint stripping if it is heated or has an electric current running through it. I have only used caustic soda as a cold soak and I have found its performance has varied. This may be due to different paints.
So for those of you using caustic soda in a hot tank I have 2 questions. Firstly, how are you heating it? Secondly, what temperature are you using?
