temp internet ? dongle info please

i was changing broadband suppliers and theyve loused up meaning i will be without for a month

im not too tech savvy , am i right thinking i need a dongle and pay as you go from somewhere like giffgaff?

any suggestions on brands and the cheapest way i can do this without a 12month contract?

Can you not tether the computer or laptop to you phone, saving you getting another bit of tech to deal with. I would be very wary of using the Wifi dongles. My boss got his sister one while she moved into a new house and he now has a £300 bill for using more data than allowed. Its very easy to do when you are on a laptop as they don't automatically look for a mobile version of the website, facebook has auto play videos defaults to On when on a laptop.. Of course all the above still applies to tethering to your phone and with some contracts it worth checking that there are no extra charges.

If you are in a 4G area you will need an EE 4G dongle. thay are (iirc) £30 for a months worth of access/data

can you not use Hotspots, many cafe's and shopping centres have free wifi. Many areas now have free hotspots.

I'm with 3 for mobile broadband, and I use 3G on a 15GB contact and Ive been with them for about 6 years (and normally use less than 10GB/month data, and that's my only internet connection at home) you might need to check on the providers website what there coverage is like though. I think I've got a couple 3 old dongles spare which I dont use, as I use my sim card in mobile wifi dongle.

If 3 or mobile data is bad kn your phone I would not bother wasting your money

If 3 or 4 g works on at home then go for it but beware of download limits and data charges

I know people that have running call centres of 4g dongles.

When we set up the Crisis at Christmas centres we use a pair of 4G dongles to run each centre. Coverage is the important thing. If you can get 3 or 4G then you should be fine.
