What's this stuff like.? Which one is best for a temp repair on a garage roof.
I have (I think) identified where my garage roof is leaking.
It's an old felt roof which is actually in pretty good condition for its age.
I don't have the cash to replace it short term so I need to patch where I think it's leaking, which is where the flashing goes over the edge of the roof using thicker felt and joins the flat part of the roof.
It always seems to crack and break due to sun and frost stretching and retracting the felt.
I do realise a new roof covering would be better but to be honest we had a new EDPM roof on the dormers and I can see issues with that already.
Next doors garage joins ours so a joint new roof would be best ,but they are having the drive done so like us can't afford it short term.
This is not my roof but the front of my garage where I think it's leaking is very similar to the raised side. Front right of this photo. It's got cracks in the felt where is goes from the side to the flat part and water will obviously go through the cracks.
