Telwin Telmig 150/1 - gas or no gas? Help please

Hi, I am new here. I have a Telwin Telmig 150/1. I was wondering if it is possible to use the welder with flux cored wire and no gas. The instruction booklet implies not. It is not possible to change the polarity of the torch. I wonder if anyone has tried?

Thanks very much weldequip for your reply, just another question concerning gas and the Telmig 150/1. Is the gas constantly flowing from the bottle when the main gas valve (on bottle) is open or does the trigger on the torch control tha gas flow only when it is pressed and welding takes place. I was thinking about the use of gas when not actually welding. Thanks

It's controlled by a gas valve inside the torch handle so only operates when you press the trigger.
