telly speech going out of sync'

I was wondering if anyone would know why this is happening and how to rectify it. The only way i can find is switching the tv off waiting a minute or so and switching back on, it seem however that this problem is occurring more frequently at present. If you can remember the water margin from years back its like watching that ...............Cheers Magnet

One of the tv's at work did that, we all fiddled with it and got it to work ok for a while then it would go again, we demoted it to playstation use in the end. Hope you have more luck with yours.

My TV was doing this. There was a some kind of setting to bring the audio into synch with the video but I can't remember if it was a setting in the TV or the Vbox. Think it was the Vbox.

Does it have a built in freeview ? It's usually a problem with the software causing it and there may be an update to fix it.

My freeview recorder does it occasionally, a factory reset or first time installation sorts it out.

Is there a setting in the system settings to adjust the delay?
My Freeview Recorder and Freesat Recorder both have that.
It's there to cater for all the different types of sound systems now available

Its nothing to do with your set in reality.

Its to do with the signal being received by the set.

Had massive issues with the Sky service we had over a year ago, no problems with the signal said Sky, engineer couldn't get it to replicate either. If it happened on channels 1 through 5, switching to the freeview service sorted it out. Thankfully, we no longer have Sky.

Could be owt from a poor aerial signal, (if Freeview), to a dodgy receiver.

I knew I had seen this somewhere on this Forum, just taken me half an hour to find it. Thanks for the pointers, I hate watching newscaster speak out of sync !

I would look at the tv menu and do a factory reset to see if that helps, also most of the TV's today have a hidden menu which you access through a sequence of button presses on the remote, just google your particular tv for the engineer menu and see what comes up, also google the tv to see if other people have had similar issues
