Tell Me About E Bikes

They have got quite a lot at reduced prices. I was originally looking at an e-Fatbike, but my head ruled my heart and bought a "trekking" bike instead.
I bought my last bike from them about 6 years ago, that one had a couple of scratches on and was about 60% of rrp.

I've found that the best discounts are usually to be had about the time the next years models are being launched. Usually autumn some time so there might be quite a few still about.

Do Evans do e-bikes? they are about to close a load of stores from what I've seen in the news recently so if you've a local one that's unfortunate enough to be getting the chop there mey be some clearance deals on.

I've heard that they've been bought out by Sports Direct, I expect they will lower it to their standards, same as everything else they've bought!

Yeah the first stuff I heard was that they had gone bust but the last I recall was that they were just going to close umpteen shops so presumably this is the Sports Direct deal and the shops that haven't been profitable will be closed whilst the ones that have been making money will be retained. Like I said if there's a local one and it's on the chop list there may be some closing down deals.

Sadly I think you're right...

It's a pity as Evans own brand Pinnacle bikes are actually very good.

They might be dumping their Specialized ebike stock from the shops they are closing so there may be some bargains to be found.

They have some really good looking bikes. Full suspension, 29ers , trekking bikes , the full range. They are pretty heavy though, although you don't notice when you are riding them.
