What's the difference between the two? Any advantage to one over the other?

Nice to use. Slow to fully harden but strong once it is

^^^^^ This. And I have been using it for years. Every time I use something else it ALWAYS goes wonky.

cheers fellas so it seems Tekaloid might give a more refined finish than tractol then.

If you like runs. Nothing wrong with machine enamel. Even painted cars with it. Look at the finish on a new tractor

Whilst this is fresh in peoples minds and hopefully related

If using Tekaloid on a car or van would you suggest leaving this as the final finish or overcoat it with something transparent for additional protection from weathering and stone chips?

when I did the rear panel on my chassis cab with tekaloid . gave it a scuff with wet n dry , next day was red hot , so left truck with back facing sun and importantantly tin of paint also in the sun, late afternoon it had cooled down but cab was warm to the hand, paint straight in the spray gun, and several light coats, came out crack on , no runs ,and paint was un thinned. maybe not concours but still spot on several years later.

Got some primer and tractol top coat on order. I've used tractol and its primer before just wondered what the tekaloid difference was
