Tech, help.

Did'nt really know where to post these up but have been threatening to do so for a while, I dug some usefull charts out of some old training books of mine, Iv got loads of simlar sorts of gubbins, including properties of metal, design charts, stuff on HD etc, If you want it posted up il be more than willing to do so, but heres just a few sheets of simple stuff to start with.

BTW I had to compress the files to upload so some of the print is smaller than I would have liked.

I tried saving then to my picture editor where I could magnified but I'm afraid it didn't work just got more blurred

Upload to the gallery so long as they are copywright free. Should be possible to get bigger pics in there. Otherwise mail them to meand I'll stick them up somewhere.

Ok malc, il give that a go, most me books are from the 60s & 70s so dont think copywright will be an issue.

very interesting your books must be collectors items at this stage put up a few of the titles and see if anybody has them or have heard of them

Il stick a pass word on them another night just in case, iv got some great tool room books as well, with pictures of large machines from the 50s, theres also a usa training book with a dude welding in dungaries flat cap and round googles, when men where men and all. As for the clicky il give it a go some other time been trying to learn the Em part to blackberry blossom for 4 hours, so my brain has now fused and ready for sleep......zzzz.

Copyright is an ineresting issue in this instance, Ratty is correct in the view of the 50 year length for copyright, however for the point of personal study copyright is wavered.

The Private forum (the last one on the list of forums) is accessible by members only, as you are a member you have access!
If copyright was an issue (which it might not be if bump is correct) Snowcat could just post a thread in the p.f. telling members what the password was to his private album of tech info.

According to the UK Intelectual Property Office copyright on books is for the life of the author plus 70 years. The exceptions don't include copying onto a website - the only way round is getting permission from the copyright owner.

We've got to be really careful with copyright on here and not use other people's text or images without permission. People could come after me for damages not just the person who posted. They could go after the web host too who would shut the site down. It's just not worth the risk.

Sorry, I'm going to remove the images.

Though if anyone fancies doing a bit of writing and making your own sketches we could put up an original page of our own about weld types and motions, and describe where each motion might be used.
