Thanks worked perfect. Last question! Some thread pitches such as 2mm have a number of different position options. Why?Okay so you have the sliding gear but only one gear at the bottom. That gear must have a spacer behind it, remove them both and put them on the other way round so that you can mesh the bottom gear with the sliding gear pushed in. Your sliding gear is probably just stuck, give ait a litle tap with a small hammer.

Yes I have a copy but not much in it. Nothing at all on screw cutting - do I have the full manual?Do you have the viceroy manual for your lathe mark, if not I have a copy here I can scan in and email if you want?
