So you have to take it to a dealer for repair...or buy a die grinder

Looks like it’s a sheer bolt rather than tamper proof, maybe used to stop over tightening. Also could be visual, if it’s sheered it’s been tightened. Just thoughts.

They are shear clips to prove they have been tightened to correct torque.

+1 for shear bolts...probably reduces manufacturing costs as a visual inspection can be used to check it's been torqued correctly.

If I had to get that off I'd probably cut a slot and use a screwdriver.

Could you find one in the parts manual and you would see what it looks like when delivered?

Similarly, the workshop manual might tell you the installation process (tighten until it shears and then don't back off half a turn).

Grab hold of the golden bit with a pair of pliers/grips and give it a good wiggle.
Sometimes they pull off and there is a hex underneath.

The torque bolts I've used come with a hex on the end...as you tighten them it just snaps off at the correct torque.

Ball-end Allen keys do that too, cunning stuff.
Bonus - they also leave the busted off ball in the Allen head, preventing tampering. What about that for cleverness?

Nothing keeping from scrapping the hose clamp replacing with a better one.
They make some with a stack of Bellvilles under the head to keep the pressure constant.

Agree. If you look at the first photo, you can see where the adaptor has been crimped onto what appears to be a standard hex head drive screw.

It's either tamper evident (which seems unlikely given its location) or it's an assembly quality feature - if it's sheared, it's tight to spec and not overtightened.

Stick a mikalor clamp on it and wait for another original joint to fail somewhere else down the pipe run.
