Ball-end Allen keys do that too, cunning stuff.The torque bolts I've used come with a hex on the end...as you tighten them it just snaps off at the correct torque.
Agree. If you look at the first photo, you can see where the adaptor has been crimped onto what appears to be a standard hex head drive screw.Grab hold of the golden bit with a pair of pliers/grips and give it a good wiggle.
Sometimes they pull off and there is a hex underneath.
