Foam mat if it’s ongoing. Toughbuilt strap on’s are good and I like the clip on hard shells. In trouser for casual or just a minute jobs.
If you go for strap on’s make sure they are gell

That's why I wanted em.

The Rubi with the seat would be useful kitchen fitting too.

Spend a lot of time on my knees. Might be a worthy investment.

They are good, but really don’t like crap on the floor. I passed mine on so can’t offer you a try

A 1" thick piece of polypropylene closed cell foam, commonly used for packaging equipment and the like, worked quite well during a recent decorating job. It actualy felt quite luxurious. It's also good for resting elbows on laminate flooring, when painting under the bath.

its the moving the pad every few secs is the problem and even more so where im going to put my knees when im moving it

If the job allows, lie down and make use of the built in padding of the belly! That is how I got the grouting and skirting paint done, after a lot of time on knees tiling.

if i use my belly id be rocking back and forth not much good when painting

nice idea but when moving round furnature i can see this as a problem

I have 2 sets.
One is the elasticicated ones from Screwfix.
Don't bother.
As after a while the elastic cuts in through work trousers.
Not to bad in worn over a thick boiler suit.

The other set is from Dickies, that fit inside the kneel flaps on their work trousers.
They came in different grades.

I slip them in when doing fire extinguishers, as I am up and down like a fiddlers elbow.

I have some red wing black foam insert ones that go into knee flap things.

Came free from an FSPO so they get used now no complaints however never used them before so nothing to compare to!
