50 years ago nearly got electrocuted fixing a cooker that was suposedly turned off at the switch . it wasnt and was still on and the pilot lites wernt lit up turned out the lot was broken . one hand on the cooker frame the other behind the outer and inner skin of the oven feeling for a cable that dropped inside got hold of the main supply conector and was still turned on and couldnt let go as e fell back over managed to let go . verry lucky to be alive . had the same thing happen a month ago apart from i tested the output cable this time so no shockwent to disconect an old hob today switched off and pilots not lit . was just going to cut the heavy flex off and bin it . thought id test it with the magic wand 1st and it was still on would have been a big bang and a new pair of snips ruined if i hadnt
