I was just checking my own thread for the pinouts of a tacho, and spotted this thread. So adding link in case it helps:

I’ve got one of those ready to install, but really want to be able to test it (and a few other bits) with something I can trust. Hopefully the postie will find the one Pete sent to me, it’s been in the system since late October but it’s looking increasingly like it’s lost

lost = stolen I cant see how anything can be lost with a postcode on it the more people that ring the post office up with lost parcels they can track down where the most is going missing and hopefully catch someone at it

I doubt, unless it's a high value item for which they'll charge insurance anyway, they'll not be too bothered. "Fill in this form Sir, and we might give you some small compensation....like a book of stamps! I had a fight to get £25 out of them some years back.

This project has been a ballache from the start. I only wanted to move the lathe 18ft across the workshop. Reversing switch dodgy so rewired, then motor decided to pack up, so bought a new one and VFD, then gave the lathe a service and noticed the swing head was bent...I’ll get there
