No not the stuff prescribed by the quack..

Ive got a choice between the sony Xperai Z2 or the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1.. the choice is limited by its what EE have got and I get the most spectacular service from them.. Something to do with the father in law having 5 phones and 3 Ipads...

Anyway, I like samsung because I have the galaxy S4 phone, however EE dont do the tablet in white but the spec seems good enough for what I want.. The odd bit of browsing and messing about while "she" is viewing the soaps of the day... I must add that I have held off getting a tablet for almost 18 months in the hope that EE would get something a little better in the samsung range.

However the Sony is dust and water proof.. Something that can be very useful in places like Kelloggs, Kingspan etc. I know you think I am mad taking something like that on site but it will only go along with the £600 laptop, £10k thermal imaging camera, £8k plus of data collection gear and a whole host of tools... the screen is better on the sony, better processor, more RAM.. but I think I will miss the "Touch Whizz" interface from samsung..

At the end of the day they will both be used in the home and probably at work because im a geek like that... any advice out there.

Friend of mine had a sony experia.
Charger port failed after 6 months - "not covered by warranty" - sealed unit so not user replaceable

I had a brief affair with the Sony Xperia Z phone - If the tablet boasts the same specs I would walk away. Screen broke after two days; No warranty fix forthcoming, had to fix it myself at cost, vibrator stopped working, screen would become 'washed out' in sunlight, Camera was poor...The only satisfaction I got from it was when I smashed it into pieces - waste of £350.

Sony have really dropped through the floor since the Rootkit fiasco. I used to have a lot of Sony product, but now I wouldn't have it as a gift.

I have an xperia z tablet and over the last year cannot fault it. Screen quality is second only to apples retina display. Never took it on site though! Very comfortable to hold also.
I have an xperia z1 phone and am very pleased with it. The dust proof rating is very effective, all my other phones speakers get clogged with grinding dust in a few months xperia still clear after one year. Excellent camera too.

Had both in the old job as test units. I'd go with the Samsung every time.

Flash your own ROM of choice and tweak till your hearts content.
