Tablets/iPad

evening folk.
I know very little about such things!
Someone gave me a iPad about three years ago, which has been great but it’s on its way out now.
So I’m in the market for a new one, I only use it for browsing and the such.
Is it possible to get one that you can connect to your phone??
Is it possible to get one that will take the card out of my camera so I can get pics from camera to pad??
What are you folk using out there??
Not sure if I want to go back down the iPad road.

Depending on your contact you should be able to teather. (Share mobile data via a WiFi hotspot) to.any wifi enabled tablet.
Or a 3g or 4g enabled tablet will have a sim.card.slot for direct conectivity.

I have unlimited tethering So i choose the former.

As above with the tethering to your mobile for internet access.

You can get plug in card reader for most tablets either via the USB or Lightning port.

I’m a long time Apple user and enjoy how they all work together across my iPhone, iPad and MacBook so will recommend iPad but if you’ve not invested in other Apple devices then your paying a premium over Android devices.

How do you mean connect to phone?

If to get internet access, then yes, quite easy as most if not all smart phones will give you an option for a hot spot to connect any tablet device

However, if you mean set up one device then the other works the same, then in my opinion it has to be an apple product. I’m an IT dumbass, yet my iPad and iPhone are all fully synced and do stuff with out me having to break out into a sweat

If you use an ipad and an iphone you can link them so they share features, pictures etc

The daughter had a Lenovo tab4 10" which was a nice tablet. The new Lenovo tab E10 has a pretty much un-messed about version on Android on as well as a micro-sd card slot for expanding the storage (or for copying off files). They are about £120 for the 32GB, £100 for the 16GB (spend the extra £20) in Currys so you might even be able to try one out before you buy it. If your phone can "make a WiFi hotspot" then you can use that to get on the Internet. Other tablets/operating systems are available, your mileage may vary.

Cheers..I have mifi so internet connection not a prob..
Will have a look at the Lenovo.
