There are no brakes, but the whole thing is heavy enough that, on a standard concrete floor, some effort is required to move it.
If i was every concerned, id just stick some standard wedges under the trolley.
The frame is just some thickish angle that i welded up, and the castors are some that my friend pulled off some kit that was being scrapped.
