Checked out Oerlikons citopuls range? They've just added compact version to the range and I really like the panels on them.
Or, Millers MIG Matic 300DX.. The 220DX I've got in our bays at the moment is one of the best migs I've ever used.

300 amp synergic is most manufacturers bread and butter.
Do you need Pulse?
There would be loads of choice, all of the big players will have Atleast one offering in this range and All of the premium end manufacturers have a couple of choices in this amperage output.
Fronius, EWM or Lorch have lots of choice.
ESAB, Lincoln, Miller as mentioned, Migatronic, Kemppi pretty much any name you can think of will have an offering
From ourselves we would have the MicorMig and P Series for non pulse and the S-XT series for Pulse.
A lot will depend on how much you want to spend.

Standard Pulse wouldn't offer much (if any) benefit on thicknesses ranging from 10-40mm as one of the main advantages is the greatly reduced spatter from Pulse but on the thicknesses you weld you would be in Spray anyway which should also be with very little Spatter.
Standard pulse would have more of a benefit of around 4-6mm as this is usually a range of thickness which is hard to get away from Mixed arc.
A modified Pulse process such as SpeedPulse-XT (other manufacturers also have modified Pulse processes) would be a benefit as they would enable faster welding speeds and better penetration values. Pulse machines come with a price premium, if you didn't see the merit in spending that much there would be a modified Spray process to consider.
These modified spray processes, Lorch has SpeedArc, EWM has Forcearc for example, allow around 30% increase in deposition rates and also with much greater penetration compared to standard spray.
But as always you still have the option of just purchasing a "standard" inverter based synergic Mig with no frills, from umpteen manufacturers. For this we (Lorch) would have the MicorMig but you could always add the special spray process at any point in the future via a NFC software upgrade, if you felt it would be beneficial.

10-40mm I'd really be looking down the 400 amp side of things. A 300 amp would be suitable but there is a nice feeling knowing you've got a bit of throttle in reserve should you want it.
Pulse is a lovely thing on solid wire. Particularly if the "as welded" finish is important like Matt said reduced spatter. It's also got the added plus of been able to aid with penetration without the added heat input. It does this by allowing for higher current levels and faster travel pace. Most Mig sets with a single pulse (that I've used) don't allow for the changing of pulse settings. They give you your average current setting and the pulse will dance around those settings giving you that average. In actual fact your getting bursts of higher current to give you the pen and lower current to reduce your heat input but it's fast enough to not give you mixed pen results.
A secondary pulse from the top players (now we are getting pricey) offers those initial benefits but even further. It's generally a slower pulse that you can tailor more with speed , amps and volts on both sides. This is great for visual appearance and set up by the right guy can produce the most stunning results on ms,SS and Alu. I've found it particularly useful for racing along 2-3 MM stainless plate with the absolute minimum of distortion, spatter and surface oxides. 10-40 it's not a useful tool imo. I'd be using flux and metal cored wires with lots of amps and volts. But never the less these pulsed Mig offerings are game changers and getting better by the day.
