We have a big ol Syncrowave tucked in the corner.
Back along, it started playing up, button on the torch could be released and the arc would carry on.
Gave it a good blow out, and all was okay again, lucky.
Using it the other day, cranked up reasonably high, and the same problem started again. Initialy, it would stay on for a few seconds, but got worse, and got to the point where you had to pull the torch away to stop the arc. Not great!
Does it on AC or DC
Even a few seconds later, if you tried restarting, the torch would still be live without having to hit the button.
Gave up, and grabbed a different one
Button is a sealed unit, but i guess the contacts could be sticking...
I guess this symptom could be a sticking contactor...?
No foot pedal fitted.
Downslope settings make no difference.
Anything else that might be something else to look at?
On the subject of this machine, points, about .008" - 009"?
