came today heres the pics, said on ebay 30% duty on max, was seriously peeved off to see 15% duty when it came :/ what ye think, 45A-210 build quality seems decent no gas no welds yet sorry i will link this other forum with the welding from the same machine to it, hope this helps some one

It will be interesting to see the results on some car panel thickness, if thats what you have bought it for...45 amps min is a bit higher than most people like to run at.

i bought it for tractor cabs, digger cabs, and 50 mm tubing for gates, it should do car work with a good skilled hand ?

Who are you looking to getting gas off? Boc?

it should be find for what your using it for with .8mm wire and a good technique you should be able to get 1mm without too much trouble. 1mm wire would probably be better for gates as it fills any gaps with ease.

get gas off air prouducts id say, myt be 3 weeks before i get it gas cause paid insurance yesterday and im potless

As you mention..should be fine for the tasks you have in mind, there seems to be a few 'newbies' considering the Redline so a review would be good for them...including the go on thinner stuff, will help others decide if it's suitable for their purpose.

I would check local calor gas suppliers, a lot of them now stock welding gases, I got mine from a local spot and was loads cheaper than air products/boc etc

ill weld with it next weeknd when i get gas and see how thin i can go, we will work the gas it came with a 1kg roll of .6 sealey wire haha

i got gas, and it came with .6 mm wire, had no steel sheet at all nutn, got two hacksaw blades butted them up together, power setting 1, wire speed 4ish click click click click easy, think a hacksaw blade is 0.6 mm, i was well pleased with it, my cameras rubbish

I had the weld a broken bansaw blade today .5mm click click very quickly and it held chopped up about 10' of 3'' channel into 3 in. pieces

did you ever exceed the duty on your mig ?

no you will never exceed the duty cycle welding gates. I was making cattle barriers last winter tacking it all together first then completely welding one side flipping it over and welding the other without stopping and they take a lot more weld than gates. long heavy runs is probably the only place you will run into trouble and you have good backup for that
most important thing is to have the steel clean.it took me a while to get into the habit of giving it a rub with the grinder

It will but it will spray a 0.8 much easier. I would use 0.8 on a machine like that because your not or shouldn’t be buying a 200 amp machine to spend its life at 200 amps. If you are you want a 250 or 300 amp machine in which case 1mm wire would be perfect.

We have one of these in work, quite good when run from a 32A socket, we use it for welding new patches onto diffs on buses, quite heavy metal and it does just fine. Quite a lot of splatter of it though.
It has been used on finer stuff, namely a atc 70 petrol tank and didn’t blow it in holes. Contemplating buying one myself for home
