Hi! I'm new here and my name is David and i just bought my first welder.. Its an old AGA 200 mig.
I heard its a good mashine and got one cheep.
And this mashine runs both on 380 and 240 if one strapps it right.
This was important to me as 240 all i got.
My problem now when i gona try to strap it to 240 is that the cable thats on now only has 4 cords. 3 phases and security ground. There is no 0. I'v understood that i can conect the phase to the place of one of the ones thats on now (Asumingly where the brown one are, if it matters) but how do i do with the 0 and ground.
The house im in has ground and 0 the same. is it safe to presume i can have the 0 and safety ground at the chassi where the ground is now if i look that the phase surely is at the phase in the outlet or should i try to connect it in the circut leading to the ground for the welder? i meen the cable with the clamp.
If some one would know to help me it would matter much. I have so muche that needs to be welded and specialy the snow chains for my old hanomag so i can get out of this place (I have only sommer tires
