I've been hanging on to a bit of cast iron well pipe for about a decade. And we don't even have a lot of space here...
Finally I found a use for it -
I was going to weld somthing up. I even called the stockist for pricing.
And then figured I'd just bodge it...
Cupboard door still opens and then everything. I mean, no expense spared in the design!
To save anyone the bother, yes, the bin is too close to the fire (the tree isn't, but looks it from the angle) but it's temporary - bin and hound basket don't get left there unattended.
For those with good memories, this is the cast pipe that I'm, eventually, planning on fitting a bearing to the top to for a swing away mount. I've got a couple more of them.
Anyway, for effort Vs result, this has got to be one of the better jobs I've done in a while! : )
