Or weld a split clamp to the bar holding plate, stick in a piece of carbide rod (broken endmill shank, cut the flutes off with a diamond wheel) and leave the replacement to your grandchildren.

Thanks for the link, the price seems to jump about, but that's the cheapest I've ever seen.
I also made a carbide bar, I'll post later on what I did.
