Actually in marine law, if you take a vessel under tow with out a prior contract, the tow vessel can claim salvage, and it can be quite lucrative for the crew owners of the said towing vessel, when I were younger and dafter than I am now, a merchant ship I was on took a stricken large trawler under tow. Was a nice bonus for me, so dread to think how much the skipper and owners got.
So dont see why RNLI dont claim it when taking muppet yachty under tow as his engine is kaput. Obviously if his sails worked hed not need a tow!
