hi,
I'm new to this forum and am a novice welder. My usual attempts being limited to fairly rough and ready welding of mild steel. For this I use a small Sip Turbo mig welder and usually get my supplies (disposable gas and wire) from either B&Q or machinemart.
I now want to weld some stanchions onto stainless steel pipe to make a handrail for my boat. The stanchions and pipe are 316 and I am assuming i should use the same grade for the wire. Machinemart do sell S/S wire but they dont specify the grade.
Can anyone reccomend a supplier in Kent where i can pick up a small (1Kg or less) reel of 316 mig wire?
