Hi all I'm a newbie, and having gas problems with my welder!
the weld is real snotty and bubbly. I noted the gas on the regulator was very low(using desposable bottles) so went out and bought a new bottle. used the welder for about an hour or less and welding very nicely (1.2mm mild sheet and 10mm round bar). i swich everything off go home happy. next time i go t use it back to snotty weld and no gas!?!. I have inspected the outer hose and can't find any leaks, so any ideas what might have gone wrong?

You ran out of gas again I expect.
Those disposables are good for around 10 minutes of welding time.
Get a proper cylinder.

They only last that long??? Shhheeet... I can't justify renting a big bottle out. guess it's back to the stick welder then...

Yup! if the cylinder contains 110l of gas and your flow rate is 10 litres per min (lpm) then you have exactly 11 mins worth of gas.
There are now many dealers doing rent-free cylinders, I'm sure there will be one near you.

there are non rental options out there
