A friend of a friend asked if i could do something for her kids to take back to school,it had to be something recycled for the school art wall.
So i came up with these,ok i will admit i did copy just slightly from google but the colours are my idea,when asked how much i wanted for them,"whatever" i said,she paid me £40 for the two,was well Both made from the top,bottom and the sides of a gas bottle and lots of playing with the plasma cutter,freehand i might add,painted up with leftover gloss mixed up with what ever was there etc
Me,i like the moon the best,the sun, well hummmmm

nice work, the sun you didnt cut slots for the other side of the mouth, I think that's all that's missing

You have sown the seed of an idea.
the sun; could you have cut the rays out of the sides of the bottle and opened them out? I reckon they would be a perfect fit into the cylinder.
I am within a smidge of getting a marker pen and cider bottle and checking that one out.
Can almost do it in my head but not quite.

Yer i get ya snooper,but like i said i did sort of copied the image, i should have looked harder,lol
Just wanna point out although i took both pics on the same day,my phone has a habit of doing what it wants ie focus image etc backgrounds look different,dont ask me why

Thank you chunko,i was going to do the rays from flat scrap and make whats left from the bottle into another tube man,but went with cutting the rays from there as it had the curves etc.
The sun was from the top of the bottle so had to cut out the bit with the valve and weld in some 3mm bit to cover the hole.
Just got to add cutting something flat with a plasma is cutting something curved and keeping the distance etc is not easy,lol
