Suds pump on a Cold Saw

The bloody suds pump has given up the ghost again, it's like a mechanical fuel pump and hangs on the back of a good few cold saw's:



Does anyone know where I can get a diaphragm from? In this instance I don't pretend to know where to start, I have made a couple now from different materials but they just disintegrate with the coolant

You can use a fuel pump and be fine with that.
Italian made pedrazzoli super Brown still use mechanical pumps I think.
My Comet cold saw on the other side of the spectrum uses a stand alone electric pump

i prefer the older reference

with a double acting pump its better

which means less wear on moving parts

add a scotch yoke to the method and your near on constant water supply

The screws holding the top on look similar to a tractor diesel lift pump.

Is that bit on the motor a cam to operate the pump?
