been looking forward to firing up the new water cooled setup, ck flex torch.

Just couldn't figure out why I was frying the tungsten and ceramic.
Well it was glaringly obvious, had my hoses wrong!!!
Arrrggggh
Piped the gas to the cooler, not thinking just treated as I do with aircooled, dinz adapter gas inlet is now the water collect inlet.
Now I have a gas line with coolant in it!
As luck would have it though I have a spare gas hose. But ran out of time today.

Hopefully you didn't have the current high enough or weld long enough to fry the power hose.

I was fortunate in that I had been making and testing out a cooler for quite a while before I actually hooked the torch up to the welder or I could possibly have done the same due to the hot return coming out of the side of the dinse adapter.

I have all the parts for my cooler lying on the bench, machined up the tank hose take off before tea. Just got to make it now. I was wondering which colour was which.

Usual colours are red, blue and black.
Blue is cold water out red is power line and hot water return and black is gas.
If this colour scheme isn't the case simply blow up the power line very lightly with compressed air. The line it comes out of is your cold feed and the line left over is gas.

Any ideas on how I could dry out the gas line I have now had coolant in, I've blow out. It there will be traces of it left.
I'm thinking bringing inside and leaving on a radiator for few days

What about directing a hair dryer into it?

It's only small bore hose, worth shot, then air lineti see if it has cleared it all.

If you had a funnel of some sort that you could direct the heat into the hose it would be better, just have to watch it doesn't get too hot if it is a plastic funnel

I'd sling it in the airing cupboard for a couple days then try out. If you get clean welds and tungstens then it's probably ok.

Finally got
The setup going, first run on some crappy angle out of the scrap bin, filthy as but well pleased, the light torch is so much easier! Wp9 end gear, with a gas lense, 2.4 tungsten. 30%balance 100hz. Just gave the ally a swipe over and a light brush.

Nicely done Paul. Careful with the wp9 though. They don't like much current on AC.

Went Up to about 120a on that.

I'm well pleased with that run, hopefully will keep getting an hour a day for a while to keep practice up, before I can ta Kyle some of the projects I have waiting.
