hi, im new sorry, got argosheild, metal clean, got dip, heat seems ok but it stutters yery annoying as i was trained in argon arc welding as a student, aghhh

If the wire is 'stuttering', or bouncing(?), the wire speed may be set too fast. It could be other parameters, but wire speed is the usual culprit.

thanks how do i know the wire tension is ok

Enough roller pressure to feed wire but you can stop it with your gloved finger the tension is o.k. otherwise you will get the wire bird nesting if it fails to arc.

A good test of wire tension is to hold the torch 2 " away from a wall of other soild object, and pull the trigger if the wire slips there's not enough tension, keep upping the tension until the wire hits the object and curls around nicely

Aye but unfortunately there's more ways of stuttering....
If it's just a small stutter maybe the tip is knackered?
If it's splattering you don't have enough gas flow...
Or your wirefeed rollers are screwed down too tight...
And i could go on for a while, what kinda welder is it? maybe you could post a pic of the welds?

You could write down your settings, mate!
Could you make some pics from your welds and the machine? It will be easier for us to give you any advice!
