Stupid people leaving feedback

What annoys me is all the people who answer questions on Amazon with something along the lines of "I've never used one so I don't know" or "Sorry, I don't know".
What is the point?

A bit like eBay descriptions
“I don’t know what it is so can’t be liable if it doesn’t work “

They knew it had enough value to nick it from work

He was obviously looking for a three jaw four jaw chuck! Only come across one once and what a disappointment it was. Only useful for two things, uniform square and round bar.

I use a 4 jaw scroll chuck 90 percent of the time, not because I think it's a better style but it's my newest and so least worn chuck.

This drives me mad, I guess this may be from the Facebook generation, oh I have been asked a question so I must answer it.
I now have a separate section in my email filters for all the review this or answer a question, please junk I get almost every day.
I really do wonder what goes through there minds, I wonder if they think someone from amazon has emailed them to ask so they should reply.

The person in question obviously has internet access .

It takes seconds to search and read up on types of chucks

A wealth of information literally at out fingertips and ignorance seems to be at an all time high

It's aimed at anyone who derides someone who doesn't know what they know. OK, the reviewer has got it wrong, gone off on one and made himself look a fool, but unless someone tells him about varieties of chucks how will he find out?

I think Seadog's post below, amongst others, pretty much sum it up. There are two ways to look at everything I would suppose, but the Internet is a great tool, if used correctly, from which you can learn a great deal. The "reviewer" clearly thought it not worth his while. So, sorry, he looks like an Ass.

When I said that this was one of the funniest threads on here, I was not referring to the stupidity of the reviewer but the banter and comments from the various forum members, especially @Hood. Maybe you didn't see the humour. I did though :-)

Lack of knowledge is nothing to be ashamed of, but Writing bad feedback with the tone ,attitude and forthrightness of a authority on such things deserves mockery
