Indeed, Churchill precision machines made weapons for Saddam under some dodgy deal with the Major government...
Mine predates that quite a bit, think it is a 1985 machine. It is actually a Polish lathe, Tarnow SN.
Churhill bought the base machines and fitted ballscrews etc and a CNC control, GE1050 was on mine when I got it. It was like new and it was reckoned it had done about 40hrs work.

- trouble is, spark erosion leaves a surface finish like the dark side of the moon so the DTI stylus can find the highest or lowest points that are themselves more than 20 microns apart!
