I've likely said it before, I think I enjoy the storage and tidying more than the making of things. Three dimensional tetris, like packing a van well.

In order

1. Making things
2. Creative storage
3. TBC
4. Tidying up

Always find it frustrating that it takes longer to tidy up than it does to make/fix things

Small shelf brackets, drawn in Fusion, 3D printed in PETG as it what was loaded in the printer, bit of backing board on the wall and 3 small shelves to expand the storage above the lathe

I plumbed all the cold taps in the house to the mains.

That tank needs changing to a 50 gallon one as it's too small for the pumped showers really.

My first house ( a former 1946 ex council house ) after getting going again from divorce in 1985 had a 3/16 thick copper Elson tank in the airing cupboard for the thermosyphon back boiler heating system of two rads and a heavy galv. tank in the roof void to supply upstairs taps toilet flushing and the kitchen tap . Like yours the hardboard lid in the roof void had rotted and fallen in , that made the hot water and bathroomtaps pretty evil . I found the remains of several mice or bats in the galv tank . Like you I put all drinking water taps on the rising main.
A year or so later I put in a balanced flue combi boiler & seven rads so was able to rip out all the old copper tanks and pipe work . IIRC we got £67 for the copper alone at the scrappies & that was way back in 1987

Made a rose oot of an old shower heed to water my seedlings. Works a treat.

A big 2 litre pop bottle with the top drill in six or so 1mm dia holes also makes a great seedling watering device as none is wasted , especialy if you add a few drops of babybio etc to the water.

Today 20 April , I made a bit of space today by rearranging things that used to be in an old shed . set them out on 1.4 x 2.4 , of 6mm stick boards all over the back lawn . Then screwed four redundant fence panels to make an open fronted shelter to temporary store the cement mixer, lawn scarifier , lawn mower and four folding plastic garden chairs etc etc. . That done I made a 6inch high raised platform from block paver bricks , some old pallet racking uprights and a 6mtr length of 300mm wide re-purposed roof line plastic to stand a dozen planted up strawberry tubs on and set up the auto misting spray set up for them .
