So today I've finished to fix a chainsaw.
Nothing special swapped carb and tuned .
Then I've been struggling with an husky 235, replaced diaphragms, ultrasonic cleaned the carb, adjusted needles, nothing to do at least it's not pouring gas anymore but now it doesn't fill the bulb.
A new carb on the way.
In the afternoon I've reassembled one of the cabinets.
I've welded new steel feet because they were plastic and broken.
It fits the taps and dies box and the 3/4" sockets set too no problems
I now have to make others shelves to store things I don't use very often but I want to be protected and stored properly.
Sealant all around the joints.
After that I will paint it in black outside but my brother gave me a spray can of Amazon blue and I'm now fighting with myself because I'm kinda tempted to paint it entirely in hammered green because I think it will look a lot better we will see what I'll choose eventually.
I'm also thinking about changing the inges and I'll surely install a new lock

I removed and reinstalled the side door of our new garage, raising it 1-1/4" for better drainage and more clearance with the paving stones that I plan to install.
The builders finished the garage attic stairway, painting the garage, and installing the rest of the trim. I plan to have our town's code enforcement officer inspect the garage this week.
Driveway grading and asphalt paving will come later, after the ground is completely frost-free.
Note: I plan to eventually remove the lower six attic steps and replace them with fold-up steps to provide more useable floor area, as well as enough room for a longer vehicle to park in that bay.
The garage attic will provide a lot of much-needed storage that will allow me to move our stuff out of two rented storage units (and get rid of the nasty monthly rental payment) within the next few weeks. I still have a few more bits of lumber to add to the attic area, including closing up the gaps at the bottom of the 'walls' to prevent any of my beloved fasteners from rolling under the wall and being lost forever in fiberglass insulation for archaeologists to discover eons from now.
There are several specialized types of OSB used in the garage that are stronger, denser, smoother, and more water-resistant than 'ordinary' OSB.
I obtained an electrical permit for installing all of the garage wiring myself, except for the mains service to the garage, which I'll have an electrician install because I'd rather have him do the high ladder work for the overhead line. We're also having him upgrade our residence's mains service to 200A and install a whole-house automatic transfer switch for a generator. I plan to install the 24kw standby generator myself (under yet another electrical permit). I think I'll get started on the garage wiring tomorrow. Basically, I'm planning to install one 50A 240V circuit, one 30A 240V circuit, and at least three 20A 120V circuits, with a total of roughly 30 'fixtures' (receptacles, lights, switches, door openers, etc.). That should keep me out of trouble for at least a week. It also gives me an excuse to buy a few more goodies to add to my stable of wiring-related tools.

Yeah, I know...
I'd take at least another week, and the first job would involve trolley jacks, axle stands and welding on a shiny new floor (and I want to get the car back on the road ASAP).
One job... just one job... then I'll do it.

rubbish.... im totally going to get round to doing mine..... the concrete just needs another year or 4 to fully dry or the paint wont stick..... then i will paint it!
but honestly, i will never paint it, and i regret moving all my stuff back in before i did!

The photo creates a somewhat misleading impression. The ground slopes away from the garage at the sides and back. When the excavation contractor returns (after the ground is frost-free), he'll remove several inches of the crushed stone driveway underlayment in front of the garage and grade it so that the driveway will drain away from the garage and off to a low area on the right. We also have an underground perimeter drain system around the garage foundation and under the garage slab, even though it's a bit of overkill.
As to the stairway, I do plan to take advantage of the space under the stairway for storage, and also for a workbench where there's enough height. As mentioned, I plan to re-work the lower six steps so that they fold up flat against the wall. Shortened a 50dl to 40DL, to fit the 2511
Seems to have an issue oiling. It was fine last job on Friday. Bad/chain seem to be getting hot enough to be smoking somewhere. Theres a little oil fling but a fraction of normal. I'll have to run it with the bar and chain off for a better look at the oil.

Today I made a piece of 3mm scrap ms into something useful.
It's a pressure plate for my Tapmatic tapping head. I've spent enough on parts for it already, without spending nearly £20 on a mild steel washer. It 72mm across with a 44.5mm bore, and is 2.25mm thick.
