After nearly a month I have replaced my cars driver side door lock. As it may help somone else I've written some detail with lots of pictures.
The short version is I drilled a hole and poked a rod to reposition the release lever.
Help! Car door locked shut!
kram can you post up a pic of the passenger side door lock with the door mech on view it should look like 3 bolts that holds the lock in place

I might have found my mojo and started doing stuff to my Jeep
It's been modified by a previous owner and lots of what they have done needs tidying up
Rear panhard rod was a proper parts bin special and on 1 end had a rose joint type thingy that was shot
I had a HD Disco 1 front panhard rod that I'd kept just in case it might come in handy so decided to modify it to fit the rear of the Jeep
The one end of the D1 rod was 5mm too wide so new stainless sleeve machined, poly bush cut down and the adjustable end slimmed down to suit
Had lots of chatter when milling the eye so quick buzz on the belt sander made it look more presentable
The other end needs to be 5mm wider so have ordered some 35mm stainless bar to make a pair of top hat sleeves

i think you have done something wrong.... if my cheap bought one is anything to go by, the welds are meant to have lots of little holes in them, for weight reduction i guess! Ha ha!

The missus wanted a desk in the spare room, nothing fancy but it needed to be long and fairly narrow to fit into a gap between wardrobe and wall. I had some blockboard and a set of hairpin legs. The wife chose some "real wood" laminate. It's similar to formica but uses fine strips of poplar in the topcoat.
First cut the board to size and attach the legs.
Then turn it over and glue on the laminate.
First time I have used the laminate trimmer for trimming laminate
To spice a pretty boring job up, I decided to use zebra wood for the edging and to create a lip at the back to stop stuff rolling off the desk. I bought a pretty ropey board a while ago, it was cheap but had lots of shakes in it. I've managed to cut around or hide most of them, but there's a couple visible if you look close enough.
Glue the edging on, long pipe clamps came in very handy for this.
A couple of coats off polyx wax oil and it's done. The finish is still wet, it dries satin.
That should salvage a few brownie points, I went out with a couple of neighbours yesterday evening and drank far too much and snored all night.

Not so much made today but on and off the last few days. Converting a box that came off the back of a Defender 130 into a mini camping box for the family. Double bed underneath for us and bunk bed for the little one on top.
Kitchen area at the back which can be converted over by the awning (which has sides) from the 110. Slightly wider than the trailer but trying to keep costs down.
Scored this little Dometic/SMEV sink/hob combo for £50 off a Land Rover forum, including the bottles for water and pump system.
Cupboard up the top for supplies
And a shot of the bunk
Half the double underneath hinges up to get easier access underneath. The height was dictated by wheel arches and also the ability to slide a lowish profile Really Useful Box underneath. Although the arches aren't needed I didn't want to have to deal with taking them out yet.
Long term plan is it'll go on the back of the 6x6 but for now modifications are underway to be able to drop it onto my twin axle trailer.
So far cost us £500 I think, £450 for the box and £50 for the hob. The ply might have been the dance floor from our wedding a month ago and the rest is scraps I found lying around
