Installed the sleeve onto the shaft using an anaerobic fixative. The other day, finishing grooving and polishing of the bronze. I'll fill the groove with epoxy. The original sleeve can probably be removed by annealing the rubber without fanaticism (it has a rubber layer!). So as not to spoil the original varnish of the crosspiece.
I wonder, could they be used to dull down/ alter the resonance of a ringing anvil ?Started grinding the pitting down on an old anvil stake.
Realised the two big rust dimples were actually holes filled with lead.

I like your design. As I've posted elsewhere on the forum, I've been thinking about ways to store my 'flat abrasive' stuff. Due to lack of space in my shop, I'd have to either hang it under a shelf or under a workbench.Nothing fancy, just a rather rough-and-ready rack for storing sanding stuff.

Diy efi - I think I've got one of them here somewhere, never got around to building it up.
