Yup - it does what you need it to.
Mine has a large under bed "garage" & services area for mountain bikes. Yes it eats space but that's what a van with me gets used for quite a bit. It'll also mean I have a reading blend space to carry other crud as & when (also I'll be fitting a thru hatch from garage to living space aisle - for 2nd access but also to allow for longer items).
I will have a fixed bed, loo cubicle, hob/grill/sink, pressurised water system plus fridge & Webasto diesel heater - but they are all re-purposed units, not spendy Smev / Dometic trendy stuff.

I sold a bench tip mill to a fellow forum member a few years ago, their van had a small winch between the front seats and a ramp at the rear, not stuff you usually find in a camper conversion

Knocked up a spectacle mount from some old 1/8" aluminium sheet that was hanging about, so as to hang a GPS speedometer/mileometer on to my little Beeza.
All wired in and making sense after a fashion , so there might be a ride out to be had tomorrow, if it isn't chucking it down....

Stair balustrades. near 100 straight ones and 40 odd window shaped ones. I've done loads of these by now and it's not super interesting, but it's a nice steady trickle of income.

You need a decent cnc chopsaw with a big long feed stock hopper set it up & get on with another three jobs

I will powerhose the step and very dusty tarmac next week too then a final go of kiln dried sand to fill in the joints. I have been bedding the pavers in dry mortar mix which works great as it hardens up over night and makes for a very solid doorstep overall.

Trying to teach people stuff can be the most rewarding thing or the most frustrating... And sometimes both!

It is funny when some youths have no common sense and keep making silly mistakes... Eg one guy cutting some plate sat on forklift forks and managing to plasma halfway through one of the forks...

A forklift toe makes a totally different sound when it hits the floor than the part you're cutting with oxygen acetylene

Fitted the new wheels to the trolley today.



Had to make some spacers to go behind them on the shafts, so that they weren't going to be flopping around like a witches tits.



7mm wide, 16mm bore. Only had mild steel to hand, so they'll probably rust like no-ones business. Put some wax on them before fitting, to see if that helps.

Sealer could be a good idea on this step also. I laid some pavers today no cutting or anything so no noise. There is enough laid now that once the mortar bed cures tomorrow I can kneel on them and start the cuttings edges.

When hosed down to set the dry mortar the colours do come out great

Mostly, a coherent tool-roll retaining system inside the left hand side panel of my little Beeza.
Just 6mm bungee cord, but it works nicely.

Today I made a 25 degree gauge block. (Or whatever it might be called.)

I made out of some 10mm scrap mild steel that I ground on my recently acquired Eagle grinder.

The grinder fell into my lap when I went to give @Pete. a lift with a cylinderical grinder be bought.
It was just sitting there and I couldn't resist.
The motor tripped out when I first tried it, but it was just an overload built into the motor.
Pete gave it a quick check over and the ways seems good so I just gave them a rub with a stone, cleaned and oiled everything and put it back togeather.

I've no clue what I'm at, so was just having a play.

Reason I wanted a 25 degree gauge was to quickly set wood chisels to grind the primary bevel.

It does the job very well and it's now quick and easy to set up a chisel for grinding.

I tried it out with this really abused cheap chisel that spent some significant time out side.
I'll confess I have used it for cutting off car body panels, so I just wanted to see what I could do with it.

Rough clean up with 180 grit paper, then 300 diamond stone.

Then 1000 grit diamond before a final polish with 16000 grit ceramic.

It cuts paper nicely now but will never be worth trying to get much better because of the deep rust spots and I've loads of other better chisels.
Still, I bet it will work well for cutting 1mm sheet steel.

Might seem a bit of overkill using a surface grinder for wood chisels, however for context the diamond and ceramic stones cost me more than the Eagle grinder!

2 tanks complete another to finish the 2" with 35mm tube was a bit of a learning curve, so small it got hot fast, a bit of baffling in the catch can

No giant leap, but at least a small step toward the elusive goal of 'getting organised.'

I had piles of wood veneer samples that tend to get scattered around, lost, or broken.

I thought it would be a good idea to compile them in a binder, so I trimmed all of the samples to the same size, printed new labels for them, and inserted them into plastic binder sleeves in alphabetical order in two sections: foreign and domestic.

I power washed al lmy paths & driveway with hot water & a very strong solution of cheap bio wash powder applied by watering can ( pipe work setup to take hot water from the power shower rose feed when the valves are changed over.
It usually takes me three days ,. I let i6t the detergent soak in for 20 min to get intothe concrete & brick work . The final day is spent using the same solution strength , this time in the pressure washer's detergent tank and simply wetting from a metre away what has been cleaned . This stops a lot of algae & moss growth for two to three years & brings back nice light colours .

I've put the yellow solid neoprene replacement wheels on both my four wheeled trolley's and the sack barrow . No more annoying flat tyres . Had a slack hand full of thick galv washers in the mancupboard which used as spacers .

While I was at it I remade much of the front & rear axle metal struts in 1/2 2 x 1 " steel because at 14 yrs old they were just about rusted through in several places . Re placed all the tub anchoring nuts & bolts with stainless steel coach bolts , washers & nylock's .

Take a few thou off the back of the chisel and polish the new cleaned back it on the diamond stone every time you sharpen the cutting edge . ( It's how you are supposed to treat wood chisels " c
