Proceeding with the drill restoration video.
Ended up today the all the sanding.
Which took literally hours and hours spreaded during the last days.
After 220 and 400 grit dry , and 800,1000,1200,1500 and 2000 grit wet sanding I didn't be able to remove all the scratches but surely reduced the worst ones, pretty pleased with the results I'm now ready to polish up the plastic housing even though I like the dull finish the most.
But the drill had originally a polished finish so that's what's better for it.
Anyways during the sanding of the housing the paint on the gearbox surely had well enough time to cure correctly so I might be able to work on the chuck.
I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel

Today I made an adapter so I can use two different hoses with my vortex dust collector without using duct tape.
I use it mostly for cleaning out the stove, between the hose and the under floor vacuum system.

The tub came from a Lidle ash hover that was pants, but made a good base for a separator.

I'm in the throes of setting up a double cyclone extractor, it's supposed to be 98 % effective for our Men's Shed . ( when my hands get better ..another story )
I take it that the collector tub is a well sealed vacuum can . So far I have got a large 50 litre polyethene strong thick walled & rimmed inverted traditional skep type beehive shaped round planter tub that might seal well with a silicone gasket or a very heavy duty polyethene plastic dustbin with a really thick rim . I have 20 mm balanced nine layer plywood for the lid which I'll route out a small gully for the silicone seal in.
I have the choice of three vacuums a 2000 watt house job , An EX hotel use Henry that I repaired and a larger Titan wet & dry vac. or all together perhaps to get a large volume of air through the cyclones . What sort of depression of volume of air does your house system pull or what is the wattage of the fan unit ?
Hope to 3D print the adaptors and add close off valves / gates for when all are not all in use at the same time as I've made a manifold to take three suction hoses from three wood working machines.

Made with live yeast from a local baker, a burping slime.
Flour and fizzy water.
Baked ina cast iron pot, in charcoal. He had help make last year. Mixed by hand, in a shed. Then brought o my place as I forgot the butter and honey.
Ok a bit better.
This man is all but blind.
We used old scales and old weights, he could feel the size etc.
Ok we needed to guide a hand every now and then.
But not bad.

Made a retaining clip from 316 1.2mm tig wire, which appears to have been a bad choice 
the problem being that 316 can not be quench hardened and after bending, is still quite soft and easily bends out of shape, as opposed to being hard and springy, retaining the shape.
It appears if I want to use this wire I need to significantly work harden it before bending. Top is the original.

I was given a pack of cacao butter, and another of cacao powder by a friend, because the packs were going out of date. Nothing else to do but make some dark chocolate with it.
Remarkably easy to make, but a wee bit grainy. Not bad, but not as smooth as bought stuff. Also, I never tempered it, purely because I ran out of time.
Verdict, 3 small jars of wonderfully dark and tasty choccies now nestle in my fridge.
Picture on left using flash, and picture on right better reflects how dark the chocolate is.
