Hopefully enough of an air gap between the combustion chamber and everything else, it's a truck air brake tank so pretty thick and engine wouldn't be running for more than a couple of minutes so should be fine. Not as compact as one of the other fellow nutters who built it into a bike.are you going to insulate or add some kind of heat shields for the pump motors / oil tank?

I was thinking that's the combustion chamber it'll be red hot... but thinking again the air comes down the sides and back up the middle where it burns... so outside edge should stay cool (er)
Made my first YouTube video with success, starting to become confident to speak English and little better at editing (made various attempts)
Unfortunately the 40 minutes video reduced to 10 minutes which took almost 10 hours of work (considering half of the time trying to speak , moving the camera etc)
Has been lost prior uploading, because the editing app needs the various unedited clips.
I've deleted them unfortunately, and I've lost the entire work done .
Anyway not a completely lost since it was needed to learn and become better at it .
It's been a sad delusion TBH because I was hyped to upload it and get started.
I'm little sad about.
Dont be sad, keep at it and you will learn, make sure you post up some links when you have a completed youtube videoMade my first YouTube video with success, starting to become confident to speak English and little better at editing (made various attempts)

A bit thin at 4mm where I need to thread it, could helicoil or shrink fit a thicker bit of round in there.
Will try to anodise it. I should do a test first as havent used the kit/dyes in over a year.
Have you *made* that flanged nut? That is the plan, quite a few saws come standard with roller catchers. Seemed an interesting/simple small part to try milling.
I thought the whole point of a chain catcher was to catch the chain and stop it dead, so if it does come off and whip around, it's at least not being driven? That is the plan, quite a few saws come standard with roller catchers. Seemed an interesting/simple small part to try milling.
Yes, it has a groove so it can be retained in the cover by a bit of wire. Sods law I dont have any suitable 1.2mm stuff and 1.5-1.6mm wire wont fit.Have you *made* that flanged nut?
