I was going to say except my income......Except my wages.
If they are lipo, to look the part, they need to be in battery bags, not nicely combustible foam.I have sorted out a box for the remote control gear this morning. I am hoping to go flying later today and thought it would be best to at least look the part....
I re-used the packaging the printer came in and some hot melt glue. It will suffice until I get more of the breakout foam.
There is room for more batteries etc but I only have three for now.

They came through the post in a foam padded box so they will live on in the same luxuryIf they are lipo, to look the part, they need to be in battery bags, not nicely combustible foam.
How long did that take to print? The little box I did took 5 hours so that must have been days! After a few revisions, my 3d printed leaf collector shoot works. Leafs must be pretty dry or this get blocked. Nevertheless it work just need to pick the right condition use it etc. View attachment 421283View attachment 421284View attachment 421285
What mirrors are they? Look pretty trickWell that was a disaster, the acetal was just too slidy even with the knurl.
So plan B, decided to try some adhesive lined heatshrink on them, biggest I had was 3/4" but managed to stretch it to get it on.

Mirrors back on and seem to be fine, will see how long it lasts but properly knurled aluminium should work better if this doesn't work out.

I printed this in two halves. Sliced in prusa slicer and split in two with dowel connectors. Glued together with Ob1. Over all about 18 hours print time in total. 8mm thick with 5 walls. How long did that take to print? The little box I did took 5 hours so that must have been days!
DoubleTake, supposed to be indestructibleWhat mirrors are they? Look pretty trick
When not in use, and provided they're not damaged, there isn't much risk from a LiPo.
I agree, it was just the comment and reaction to my post that I found strange. I wouldn't charge them in a box but I will keep them as safe from damage as I can by putting them in one. When not in use, and provided they're not damaged, there isn't much risk from a LiPo.
The risk is when charging them (biggest risk is a faulty charger causing them to go over-voltage), or they're damaged.
