Got tapped up this morning by a neighbour. Big wild bird enthusiast, wanted a heavy duty bird feeder to screw to his shed. Shop bought ones are a bit flimsy. He is not a bad lad so mocked this up for him. Have to check the dims and see how many holes he needs drilling into it, before I weld it all together. F.O.C. Paul.

Thursday, full load of concrete and a big pump thingy to concrete in some footings at my lockup project
The ground is made up rubbish and I can't dispose of it as its got knotweed
Was about 1m³ short so picked up a load of all in and put the cement mixer to work

Attended to the freelanders rear arches and rear arch bottoms. The body shop I use wanted £700 just for the arch bottoms. Took the plastic mud traps off and treated the arches and struts with vactan rust converter and firwood anti corrosive chassis black. Drilled some holes in the mud traps so I can poke the karcher in. Was only doing one but I was blacker than Ive been in a long time so persevered and did both and the arch bottom that needed patching. This cold beer tastes nice and I’ll be aching tomorrow but job done

Putting a radius on the arms...
Sorry not many pics this time. Wish I'd done a video tbh, just to get back into the habit.
So almost a bookmatched set of arms.
Yeah that one. Went a bit to hard with the feed rate, paid the price.
I have glued it but that sort of defeats the object of making them from solid. The previous arms were glued up and eventually just fell apart. Will see how I feel about the repair tomorrow. As a side note there are a million giant spiders suddenly. Lucky for me because that chip flew off into a giant spider web!
Just need to trim the edges, drill to fit, laquer etc...

Made an aluminium pin to replace the stainless button head on the gear pedal.
Also got some leather from a place that just sells leather and associated things rather than the stuff I previously got from Amazon. What a difference, it is 50% thicker and yet it cut in 2 passes of the laser instead of 5 on the thinner stuff so I decided to make replacements of the two keyring fobs I made yesterday.
Also made a couple for myself, one with text cut out and the other with the background cut out, they are still drying off so will see what they look like once dried.
