Almost ready, it is necessary to glue the glass-cover seals and other little things.Airtight lid for 10 liter glass jar. I broke my head, but I figured out how to do it.
Silicone, Viton, PTFE gaskets and seals will be added later

The bracket fairies have been here and they were of the stainless variety
Both oil coolers now in. The forward one is for the hydraulics and the aft is for the gearbox. Enough for today as too hot here. In the morning start on the exhaust!

Aye been there.Just been back. Not the greatest having to leave Dad in a Coma and on life support. Poor bar steward is too sick to live but too stubborn to die. Today is two weeks that he’s been in that condition

Finally got round to sorting one of my niggles in the HoP. Decided to make use of one of the gaps in the stonework to make & mount a holder for paper rolls.
It's just wedged tightly in there. No fixings, packers or foam needed.
Not going to have them stuck on the bench taking up space there now.

This afternoon I made a bit of progress on the lamp I started some time ago had a bit thinking to do I didn't want to drill through the jack to fix to the base so tigged a couple of studs in
not the tidiest but it won't be seen ( even though I've a quality mask I'm still struggling to see well when welding it's starting to tick me off
) roughed out a base from some old oak w/top
and chopped the studs to suit
there's some some more silicone bronze to fill up and grind
then on to the wiring up now this maybe where the problems start where do I stand if I intended to move this on or should I not bother . Any how if I were to tap an earth point in the base out of sight do I need to earth the lamp holder . Next a good way to finish the metal work without losing the ( rust ) patina and making it all shiny ! @ TYA

The drawers are 650mm long with a bewildering number of mounting points on the back. The first thing was to decide which holes to use. I used the slot at the front as an initial mounting point as it gave a few mm of adjustability. They are rated to 45kg per pair. I only have a bare frame so needed to make mounts for them.
Measured 6 inches down from the top 30mm in from the front, drilled and tapped M4. I usually end up mixing my units of measurement on a build. I used this mounting point as pivot to get the runner level and mark the rest of the mounting points.
The fitting for the centre two runners was harder as there's no leg in the middle to work off. I had to run a square down from the top to get the correct distance to the front.
Set of plates cut from 60 by 3mm strip. The strip was bent like a leaf spring unfortunately. They are welded on the frame and runners hang off them
A sweaty damp camera phone lens plus the light through the door gave a pretty photo effect.
There's plenty of room at the back to bolt items to the table if needs be without interfering with the drawers.
I when I built the table frame I kept flipping it around to ensure I was welding on the flat.
This time I left the frame upright and tried welding the mounting plates in postion. The welds are pretty shoddy as a result but they will hold the drawers up fine. I do have another excuse in that I omitted a washer when reinstalling the steel mig wire and the wire spool tension kept overtightening and binding as a result. With some paint, drawers and a worktop, no-one will see the mistakes.
A bit joinery is on the cards next to create the drawers.

Making up some replacement arm rests for a neighbour. Bought a chunk of sepele.
Slicing it up was easy enough and it's a tight grain hardwood so, "how difficult could it be"? I asked myself...
Not so much "difficult" as mind bendingly tedious to do everything eight (nine) times).
The really tricky bit was to "let in" the curved steel chair support. I had to use a pretty big cutter, sticking way out of the collet and some dodgy trick to give me the correct inset meant I couldn't use a nice smooth base.
Difficult and fantastically dangerous! Yes that spinning blade of doom was mere inches from tearing my arms open.
I won't be doing that again. Bit too sketchy even for my taste, really have to be super careful for hours on end. Burt I got there eventually.
This stuff should be absolutely beautiful when done. I might even be able to give them bookmatched armrests!

When I did something similar, I made a dip tank and used chemical blacking. came up a treat too. Project is on here somewhere. Link if I find it.

That's the best approach. Try a few finishes & see which takes your fancy most.
My tap holder is Gearwrench. They are pretty. The ratcheting handle is nice to look at. The tap holder jaws are like chocolate though.
This is pretty much the set I bought.
I'll post a pic tomorrow of the bigger tap holder. It doesn't get a lot of use and the jaws are mashed up.
