Made those two brackets for an handheld concrete mixer .
Original ones are made out of cheap cast aluminium , my version are made out of steel.
They connect the handles to the main motor body.

Then I've cut and drilled parts for a Piaggio Porter tilt bed .
Reinforcement plates for the hinges , and the cabin end of the bed .
Prepared the tool for tomorrow morning .
Hopefully I'll finish before lunch

Hardly exotic, but I've knocked-up an easily broken-down & detachable frame for my Router Table, to support a cheapie Router Lifter to make it easier to raise/set the Router.
(I'm no good with a Router - barely used one - but it's easier in a Table, and it's a pain to set manually).

Reinforced those
1.5mm thick rusty bented dented and cracked sheet.

In position vertical 7018 weld
2.5mm at around 80A , very tricky and very bad looking weld but they'll do the job.
Then I've cut open the bed but that's another story.
It requires new bushes ,bolts were stuck in them , I've had to cut them without killing myself , tried before to cut them out but I couldn't as much power as I really needed because fuse was continuously tripping ,then I've tried to use a carbide burr to cut them off , but despite it was working ,this method wasn't much more pleasant than overhead gouging.
So I've ended up using the grinder to open a window in the bed to eventually cut the bolts working from the upper side.

I forgot to mention that I was between the bed and the cab ,main power was horrible, and I've been forced to weld left handed.
Very uncomfortable.
I never stick weld at work , mainly MIG and little bit of Tig.

This afternoon I made the old compressor into a newer one

the old one's a 71 and the new ones a 72 albeit with a newer motor and twin pump . The 71 still has the original newman motor .
had to swapover the reg and outlets , also the drain off as they were both gate valves !


then a little wiring as the motor was wired to the pressure switch with some 2.5 T&E

bit of dual shield rubber flex

all up and running now just need a flex for the supply , I've got some 16amp artic cable cable which will do .
very happy with it .

Made this plate from scrap so I can use the hobbyist type bandsaw in its vertical position. (I did clean the rust back afterwards)
It's not the best saw; have to cut/feed steel so carefully.

Weather is being a real PITA for me at the moment so I am not making much progress with the hopper and shelter welding, if it is not blowing a gale it is pouring down So getting on with some other jobs that I can do inside.

Welded some 50mm dia 316 into some 9" dia x 20mm thick 316 and then machined it to fit into some 8" NB pipe.

Threw the pipe into the welding bench vice and welded on the ends.

Final fitting to the set of decorative gates,checking spans before we make fencing panels each side of this ,the largest of the 3 gateways,then the arduous task of painting.

finished off making these pitbull clamps from O1 tool steel. Need to harden them now, but I'm really pleased with them. Probably about 4 hours work in total.
I started with 12 but messed up 2 of them, so ended up with 10 usable ones.



I also made another 60 stainless angle brackets last night. Took about 2.5 hours total...not too shabby

We use them at work for prototypes, I'd have bought some but they're not cheap.
You mill a pocket in a sacrificial bed and drill and tap it. They screw down and hold from the side, so you can arrange as many as you need for a particular project.
This gives you an idea
