Drawn on paper to prove then thought why am I messing about tracing this on 2D cad when I can draw it as a parametric and send straight to dxf. Few changes I'd make in future, in the corners, there's too much clearance. Then again in sheet metal it was set to 1.5mm and ive actually used 1.0mm.

Are you going to put an Umbrella hole in the middle ? ( For those really hot/ wet Welsh summer days. )
You could put them on 150 mm lockable rubber tyred castors so you can wheel them in & out your man cupboard in between showers .

Pre rounded timber. Just need to sand the edges.

Why bother with casters when I have a JCB with pallet forks (that may or may not be how I moved them)?

You need 2 holes at least for the umbrella to allow for the passage of the sun.

I wanted to use stainless but didn't have enough. So steel it was, again thin on the ground so pulled this out of the lean-to. It will be painted with zinc primer then a decent enamel. I may well remake in stainless at a later date but need to prove concept first.

I made these dashboard knobs for Wifey's hot rod project. I wanted them laser etched for function as per BIVA requirements and rang a local company who were happy to do them. When I got there it was sideline at a small engineering company. The boss was a nice guy and never charged for them as it was literally 5 minutes work.
Anyway, the result.

Happy with them.

While the plasma cutter performed flawlessly, the user clearly needs more practice!

I want to make "Onsen Tamago", aka 64 degree egg, you have to hold it at that temperature for an hour. According to wiki "The egg has a unique texture in that the white tastes like a delicate custard (milky and soft) and the yolk comes out firm, but retains the colour and creamy texture of an uncooked yolk." To be honest, that doesn't sound great, I like a cooked white and runny yolk, not the other way round, but I won't knock it till I've tried it, all it's cost me is an egg.

There's recipes online where they bring water to the boil, add some cold water, then add eggs and leave it ages, that sounds a bit arbitrary for my liking.

Not so much made as installed: we now have hot water up the mountain. It's a bailerina, basically a giant ghillie kettle. An armfull of firewood and an hour or so later you have 150l of piping hot water. Insulated, so it stays hot for a good while too. Just got a small leak to sort out on the pressure relief valve and need to swap the hot and cold feeds to the shower.

Today I finished of five brackets for my lorry. A few hours of draw file work.

Acid, flap disc and a small flap wheel (die grinder/drill sort) got the galv off ready for turning. Does a flap wheel exist with a grinder flap disc like construction?

I thought it was going to ring, it did, but the noise was pleasant.
Depth of cut wasnt enough to break chips but I wanted to keep it thick as possible.
